Sooo sweet. Thanks for posting the pictures. I probably won't get to see her in person before you leave. She will look so different when you return. So, please, don't forget to keep posting the pictures. Enjoy your time across the pond.
Hi Anna, Your little one is too cute!! I wanted to ask, do you cloth diaper?? I'm thinking of taking the plunge and am trying to find people who do it and get a little advice. Oh, and I'm very jealous of your upcoming Italian excursion. Just thought I'd let you know. Cause it's always nice to be envied, just a little ;) Kelly
Hey kelly! Yes I do cloth diaper and I love it so much. I use prefolds, snappis (snappis are like a little plastic clasp that holds the diaper in place instead of pins. SO mch less pokey and easier to use.) and covers as it is the most economical. I just love the wool covers too which are pricey but last thru one kid. I use lana and Ruskovilla covers at night and imse vimse printed ones during the day. They have really sweet prints. I have also made a couple wool soakers out of sweaters which is really fun! That and an odd assorment of other diaper brands that I tried. There are tons of them out there. greenmoutaindiapers.com is a good sight. Good luck! It is a plunge but i think they look so cute with the big fat soft cloth bum!
Ok, what about the leak factor (I've seen some patterns out there and I'm really into the idea of simply making my own diapers and covers - my goodness, I'm turning into such a hippie - is it better to just buy, or are your homemade versions just as good?) and the washing?? Really, the washing is the part that kinds of creeps me out and tempts me not to do it. I think poop is funny, but we're not friends. Do you have to rinse them all out before you throw them in the wash? Thanks so much for all the info, I really appreciate it.
I can't believe I'm posting about diapers on my wife's blog...
Kelly, as a dad I've not noticed any leaking with the cloth diapers and covers. They are easy to change also. And the trashcan doesn't smell toxic either, which is a plus.

Oh, and have you tried all-in-ones?? If so, why do you prefer prefolds?
